The Hogar de la Medalla Milagrosa (Home of the Miraculous Medal) carries out its work in strict compliance with the current legal regulations of the Republic of Panama, aimed at the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents. Its operation is duly authorized by the competent authorities, guaranteeing that each of its processes meets standards of quality, ethics, and social responsibility.
The institution has its corresponding Operating Permit, which legally supports its operation as a care and protection center.
Furthermore, the Home is governed by Internal Regulations, which establish the rules of coexistence, care guidelines, and rights and responsibilities of both the children and adolescents and the staff, ensuring a safe, organized, and respectful environment.
The Hogar de la Medalla Milagrosa operates under the supervision and coordination of government entities responsible for ensuring the well-being and protection of children and adolescents in Panama, such as the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents, and Families (SENNIAF), and the Juvenile Courts. These bodies ensure compliance with public policies, as well as the proper handling of referred cases.
